Inn, Cafe & Bicycles: The Bespoke Inn

I am a sucker for bike shops. And not the big box, shopping mall type. No, I like the one’s that smell of rubber and grease. Ones that still do things the old school way, like lace up 32 spoke wheels and still have fork shavings on the ground.  I’ve always said never trust a clean bike shop, just a clean mechanic. One such shop i fell in love with is The Bespoke Cycles Scottsdale, Scottsdale’s only artisan, steel boutique bicycle shop. Rob Taynton, the owner, is a transplanted New Yorker, so there’s no BS, just hard work and a passion for steel frames, custom built wheels and dine clothing.
The shop is located within the serene courtyard of Bespoke Inn, a European-inspired bike hotel in downtown Scottsdale, Arizona. Rob and his partner Kate Hennen are passionate about bicycles, traveling, and food.  And I can say by experience, the Bespoke Inn and Bicycles is the embodiment of these.  With a gourmet restaurant on site operated by New Jerseyan Gio Ossu, the Inn- with 3 double rooms and an apartment- is as close to an ideal setting for cycling as one can hope for. Our good friends over at PezcyclingNews visited with Rob and Kate and did a Travel report on their stay, you can read more about by clicking here
